Industrial Equipment FAQ

Answers for buyers comparing machine price, physical availability, freight, unloading, installation, warranty, service, financing, temporary capacity and trade-in.

Quote and Availability

Are website prices final delivered prices?

No. A catalog price may cover only the listed machine. Freight, taxes, unloading, rigging, electrical work, gas or air systems, tooling, installation and training are included only when written into the quote.

Does Shopify inventory prove that a machine is physically available?

No. Inventory values do not prove a serial-numbered unit is free, correctly configured, located at a specific warehouse or ready for release. Obtain written allocation confirmation.

How is a machine reserved?

Only under written order terms after required signatures, deposits, financing conditions or other stated requirements are satisfied. An inquiry or preliminary approval does not reserve equipment.

Is the equipment new, demo or used?

The quote should state the condition. Never infer condition from a product page or stock image.

Location, Freight and Startup

Where are machines located?

Origin varies by the assigned equipment. Appointment-based inspection or pickup may be coordinated through confirmed Southern California and Chicago-area paths. The exact address and unit must be confirmed before travel.

Do you deliver nationwide?

Freight can be reviewed for U.S. destinations. Nationwide delivery does not imply a branch, warehouse or technician in every state.

Who unloads the machine?

The written quote and site plan must identify responsibility. A carrier normally transports the load; unloading, crane, forklift, rigging and inside placement are separate unless included.

Is installation included?

Only when stated in writing. Installation can exclude electrical construction, gas piping, extraction, rigging, permits, consumables and return travel caused by an unready site.

What is commissioning?

Commissioning verifies the prepared machine and application under an agreed test. It is more than powering on the machine and is not unlimited process development.

What utilities should be verified?

Voltage, phase, service capacity, breaker, grounding, air, gas, extraction, coolant, hydraulic needs and simultaneous loads must be checked against the assigned machine documents.

Warranty, Service and Commercial Programs

What warranty applies?

The signed proposal, invoice, serial information and manufacturer warranty documents control. Consumables, wear, contamination, crashes, facility problems and unauthorized work may be excluded.

Does warranty automatically include free onsite service?

No. Diagnosis, authorization, parts, travel, labor, freight and rigging can be treated differently. Submit evidence before assuming coverage.

Can UmproTech guarantee a local technician?

No. Field service depends on machine type, problem, authorization, technician availability, travel and site readiness.

Is financing guaranteed?

No. A lender controls underwriting, approval, rate, term, cash due, documents and funding. UmproTech can prepare an equipment quote but does not make the credit decision.

Can every machine be rented?

No. Temporary equipment access requires an identified machine, location, term, freight, insurance, utilities, maintenance responsibility and written agreement. Contract production or ownership may be more practical.

Is trade-in value guaranteed?

No. Value depends on ownership, liens, condition, documentation, demand, removal, freight and written approval. Photos alone are not a final appraisal.

Getting a Useful Quote

What should I send?

Send machine category, material, thickness, part size, drawings or photos, production volume, delivery ZIP, verified shop power, unloading access, timeline and required startup or financing scope.

What controls the final deal?

The signed quote, invoice, assigned configuration, manufacturer documents, written payment and delivery terms, warranty documents and acceptance criteria.
