Five Decisions Before Price

  1. Choose the process: cutting, bending, tube processing, welding, cleaning, sawing, forming or machining.
  2. Qualify the application: drawings, materials, thickness, size, tolerance, finish, volume and downstream work.
  3. Build the production cell: machine, tooling, gas, air, extraction, software, material handling and operators.
  4. Build the project: freight, unloading, utilities, installation, commissioning, training, warranty and timing.
  5. Define acceptance: test material, DXF or part, output, quality, dimensional checks and documentation.

Verified production start date Depends on allocation, release, freight, site readiness, commissioning and acceptance.
Best machine ≠ highest specification.
Best machine = the verified production cell that meets the application at an acceptable cost per finished part.

Documents to Hold Before a Deposit

  1. Application file: drawings, materials, volume and acceptance requirements.
  2. Exact configuration or assigned machine information.
  3. Complete commercial quote with inclusions and exclusions.
  4. Utility and site-readiness requirements.
  5. Dimensions, weight, freight, unloading and placement plan.
  6. Warranty and support documents.
  7. Payment, allocation, cancellation and release terms.
  8. Installation, commissioning and training scope.
  9. Acceptance test and handoff record.
  10. Financing, trade-in or temporary-capacity documents when used.
