Service Response Standards & On-Site SLA Planning

Know when to expect the first answer, remote diagnostic review, parts-release updates, and an on-site service decision. These published handling standards are separate from repair completion, freight delivery, or a guaranteed technician arrival.

Effective October 21, 2026 · Applies prospectively to new service requests and does not retroactively amend existing purchase, service, or warranty agreements.

Our Standard Support Response Commitments

UmproTech reviews requests during its standard support hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time, excluding company-observed U.S. holidays. Requests can be submitted at any time; after-hours submissions enter the response clock when the next business day begins.

First personal response

Within 1 business dayWritten acknowledgment or a human reply requesting missing information after a support case is submitted via the official form or email.

Remote diagnostic review

Target: within 2 business daysInitiate technical review once machine identity, symptoms, essential evidence, and safe access arrangements are available.

In-stock replacement parts

Target: within 2 business daysRelease an identified and available part for shipment after compatibility verification, written authorization, and applicable payment or warranty approval. Carrier transit is additional.

On-site scheduling decision

Target: within 3 business daysAfter remote triage establishes a site visit is necessary, provide the next available proposed visit window or a written explanation of remaining conditions.
Important distinction: The first-response timeframe is our standard support-handling commitment. The diagnostic, parts and on-site review times are planning targets, not warranties of repair completion. An engineer's arrival date is guaranteed only if a separate written service agreement expressly provides that guarantee.

How Each Service Stage Works

Stage Clock starts What the customer receives
1. Acknowledgment
Within 1 business day
Receipt of a service request at the official support intake or email address A personal response, case routing, or request for information; not an automated receipt alone
2. Remote triage
2-business-day target
Complete machine identification, relevant alarms/photos, issue description, ZIP code, and necessary safe access information Initial diagnostic review or a request for specifically identified missing technical evidence
3. Written next-step plan
3-business-day target
Completion of initial technical review Proposed safe checks, parts assessment, warranty review, manufacturer escalation, or site-service pathway, with a next update date if unresolved
4. Parts release
2-business-day target
Verified part identification, physical stock confirmation, written authorization, and any required payment or warranty release Shipment handoff and available tracking details. Transit time and backordered parts are outside this release target
5. On-site service review
3-business-day target
Remote determination that onsite work is needed, plus machine location and sufficient scope to estimate labor and travel Written service feasibility, a proposed visit window, and required approvals or outstanding constraints
6. Open-case updates
Every 3 business days, target
While an active case remains pending an UmproTech action or supplier response Status, current blocker, and next planned action when available

A service target is a handling objective, not a promise that the machine will be fully repaired within that interval. Complex diagnosis, supplier escalation, custom parts, unsafe access, severe weather, and customer-controlled delays can affect resolution.

Need a Guaranteed Engineer Arrival Window?

There is no blanket guaranteed technician arrival window for every U.S. ZIP code or machine. Nationwide support means nationwide request review and service coordination; it does not mean a branch or immediately available technician in every state.

For production-critical machines, the buyer can request a written Priority On-Site Service Level Agreement (SLA) before purchase or before an urgent service job. UmproTech will review whether a guaranteed response window can be offered for the specific machine, location, support coverage and available personnel. A quote or inquiry alone does not activate Priority SLA coverage.

A separately accepted Priority On-Site SLA should specify:

  • The covered machine serial number(s), service ZIP code, and period of coverage.
  • Coverage days, working hours, incident severity, and the clock-starting event.
  • Guaranteed remote response and/or technician arrival window, if actually offered.
  • Technician dispatch conditions, safety requirements, part availability, and access responsibilities.
  • Travel, labor, parts, transportation and other charges, including what warranty covers.
  • Exceptions and any agreed remedy if a contractual service window is missed.

Only a signed, order-specific SLA establishes a guaranteed onsite arrival time. If UmproTech cannot commit to the requested location and timing, that limitation should be stated in writing before the buyer relies on the service plan.

Priority and Safety

Unsafe condition: Shut down or isolate the machine in accordance with the site's emergency plan and applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Contact emergency services for immediate hazards. UmproTech technical support is not a 24/7 emergency-response service.

Production stopped: Identify the case as Machine Down — Production Stopped and supply the actual production impact and machine location. That assists triage but does not automatically authorize dispatch or override safety procedures.

Degraded production: Provide machine alarms, quality examples, process parameters where relevant, and history of the failure.

Preventive maintenance or non-urgent questions: Submit the machine information and preferred scheduling window for a written scope.

What We Need to Start the Technical Clock

  • Customer/company contact, machine location and ZIP code.
  • UmproTech order or invoice number when available.
  • Machine model, serial number, controller and affected component model.
  • Full alarm codes, photographs and safe videos of the symptom.
  • What happened immediately before the fault and any recent changes, impacts or repairs.
  • Available power, cooling, air and gas information relevant to the reported issue.
  • A clear statement of whether production has stopped and whether a safe workaround exists.

If further information is needed, the team should identify it in writing. Missing customer evidence, unavailable safe access, unapproved costs, unconfirmed part compatibility or awaiting manufacturer input may delay subsequent technical stages; they do not remove the initial one-business-day reply commitment.

Warranty, Costs, Parts and Escalation

Warranty coverage for parts, labor, travel, freight, consumables and replacement work is determined by the written warranty and approved claim. The published response standards do not automatically provide free field service, a loaner machine, guaranteed uptime, reimbursement for lost production, or a guaranteed date of complete repair.

For parts not in stock, UmproTech will provide an available supplier estimate when one is confirmed, rather than representing an unconfirmed date as guaranteed. If a response target cannot be met, customers may request a written status update and escalation through the official contact channels.

If no personal acknowledgment is received by the end of the next business day, forward the original request with the subject Service Escalation — Machine Down to info@umprotech.com or call +1 (872) 268-5842.

Machine-specific warranty documents, signed service orders and separately agreed SLAs control their respective coverage and obligations to the extent permitted by applicable law. These standards do not retroactively change accepted agreements.

Open a Technical Support Case

Send the machine serial number, full alarm, photos or video, ZIP code and production impact. For critical production equipment, ask for a written onsite response commitment before relying on a guaranteed technician arrival time.
