Description
UmproTech HBF 50/1600 – 50 Ton 6-Axis CNC Press Brake, 1600 mm
The UmproTech HBF 50/1600 is a compact, production-grade 6-axis CNC press brake delivering 50 tons of forming force across a 1600 mm bed. It is engineered for US job shops, OEMs and flexible fabrication cells that live on high-mix, high-precision work—short flanges, complex profiles, tight tolerances and frequent changeovers—where agility and repeatability matter more than raw tonnage.
Capacity: 50 ton · Bending length: 1600 mm · Axes: 6 (Y1/Y2, X, R, Z1, Z2) · Controller: DELEM DA-66T 3D graphical CNC
Key advantages for US buyers
- 50 ton forming capacity with precision control: Handles a wide range of light to medium gauge materials (mild steel, stainless, aluminum) while keeping the ram under tight CNC control for consistent angles and flange lengths on multi-bend parts.
- 1600 mm (63") bending length optimized for real parts: Ideal for small and mid-size panels, door skins, brackets, chassis parts and subassemblies. Shorter bed length means faster handling, smaller footprint and easier integration into manufacturing cells.
- 6-axis CNC flexibility for complex geometries: Y1/Y2 + X + R + Z1/Z2 configuration gives you true 6-axis capability, supporting staged tooling setups, multiple bend stations and complex profiles without constant manual repositioning.
- DELEM DA-66T for rapid setup and visualization: 3D graphical controller lets operators see the bend sequence, simulate part forming and check for collisions (where configured), reducing trial bends, scrap and time at the machine.
- CNC crowning + Bosch-Rexroth hydraulics: Bosch-Rexroth hydraulic components and CNC-controlled crowning work together to deliver stable pressure and automatic deflection compensation, so angles stay tight from part to part.
- Compact footprint, big capability: Fits into tight floorplans, cells and U-shaped work areas next to fiber lasers, punches or welding fixtures, making it a perfect “cell brake” for high-value components.
- Ideal for prototyping and repeat work: Quick programming, angle correction and job memory make it just as effective for one-off prototypes as for repeat OEM jobs you run every week.
Key technical specifications
Bending force: 50 ton
Suitable for forming a broad range of light to medium gauge metals used in control panels, machine covers, brackets, enclosures and precision assemblies. Tonnage charts are provided so programmers and operators understand safe windows for material, thickness and bend length combinations.
Bending length: 1600 mm
Enables production of small to mid-size panels, chassis, sidewalls, doors and precision components while keeping the machine compact and easy to access. Well suited for “operator + one helper” cells or single-operator, high-mix environments.
Axes: 6-axis CNC (Y1/Y2, X, R, Z1, Z2)
Independent Y1/Y2 ram control with servo-driven X (depth), R (vertical backgauge) and Z1/Z2 (finger left/right) axes. This combination supports staged bending, short flange gauging, tapered parts and quickly adjustable setups for different part families without moving tooling every time.
Controller: DELEM DA-66T
Modern touchscreen CNC with 2D/3D programming, automatic bend sequence calculation, angle correction and job memory. Operators can program at the machine or load programs created offline, reducing downtime between jobs and simplifying training for new team members familiar with Delem controls.
Hydraulics: Bosch-Rexroth
Premium Bosch-Rexroth hydraulic components provide smooth ram motion, stable pressure and reliable operation. The hydraulic package is designed for production duty with proper filtration, cooling and clearly defined maintenance intervals.
Crowning: CNC-controlled crowning
Automatic crowning compensates for bed and ram deflection based on tool, material and bend length. This keeps angle variation low across the full 1600 mm length, especially important on multi-bend parts or when changing between different material batches and thicknesses.
Detailed values for open height, stroke, throat depth, backgauge travel, axis speeds and positioning tolerances are provided in the machine’s technical data sheet and GA drawing.
Geometry & bending envelope
Open height (daylight):
Daylight is sized to support common gooseneck punches, multi-V dies and staged tooling. Final open height is matched to your preferred clamping system and tooling strategies during the proposal stage.
Ram stroke:
Stroke length is designed for multi-bend sequences, tall flanges and small return bends, so you can run complex parts without fighting geometry limits. Exact stroke is confirmed against your part mix during application review.
Throat depth:
Throat depth allows bends offset from the material edge, enabling channels, Z-profiles and internal flanges that are common in electrical enclosures, machine guards and precision brackets.
Backgauge design:
Heavy, servo-driven backgauge fingers ride on precision guides. Z1/Z2 fingers can be repositioned quickly to support different part widths, asymmetrical parts and staged tool setups along the bed.
Capabilities & typical applications
The HBF 50/1600 is a natural fit as a cell brake next to fiber lasers, turret punches or panel saws, or as a standalone precision forming center for small and mid-size parts. Its strength is high-mix, low-to-medium volume work where tool changes and setup time can make or break job profitability.
- Precision brackets, mounting plates and chassis components for machinery, automation equipment and industrial products.
- Cabinets, enclosures, doors and frames for electrical, HVAC and control systems where cosmetic quality and dimensional accuracy matter.
- Prototyping, engineering samples and pilot runs for contract manufacturers who need fast turnaround with production-level quality.
- Complex multi-bend parts with short flanges, tight dimensions and multiple bend stations along the bed.
- Integration into automated cells that combine laser cutting, forming, welding and assembly for compact, high-throughput production lines.
Implementation & support for US shops
We work closely with US job shops, OEMs and integrators to ensure the HBF 50/1600 fits your parts, processes and floor layout before it ever ships. Our team reviews your drawings, DXFs and part families to confirm capacity, bending envelope and tooling strategy.
- Pre-installation guidance: power requirements, floor layout, crane or forklift access, material flow and safety zoning around the cell.
- Application support: CNC programming tips, bend sequence strategies, tooling selection and crowning/angle correction best practices using your real parts.
- Training & ramp-up: on-site or remote training to get operators comfortable with the DELEM DA-66T interface, 6-axis backgauge and daily maintenance tasks.
Next step: send us a few representative parts (DXF/STEP/PDF with material, thickness and quantities) and we’ll confirm fit, estimate cycle times and recommend an optimal HBF 50/1600 configuration for your workflow.
