Review machines, applications, facility requirements, delivery, installation, training, warranty, service, parts, rental, and financing pathways.
Origin · dimensions · weight · trailer · protection · route · unloading
Industrial equipment shipping cannot be priced reliably from a product name and ZIP code alone. The assigned origin, transport geometry, trailer, protection, route, destination access, and unloading interface determine the carrier scope.

Quote inputs
Every one can change price, carrier eligibility, insurance, loading, schedule, or delivery risk.
The release location of the assigned unit—not the warehouse closest to the buyer or a catalog assumption.
Crated or uncrated length, width, height, weight, overhang, lifting points, and center of gravity.
Van, box truck, hotshot, flatbed, stepdeck, Conestoga, RGN, or specialized transport.
Enclosure, tarping, shrink wrap, edge protection, and controls or optics protection.
Permits, escorts, bridge or road limits, legal height, delivery hours, and seasonal conditions.
Gate, turn radius, pavement, slope, overhead clearance, dock, staging, and receiving hours.
Dock, forklift, crane, rigging crew, inside placement, and the exact transfer of responsibility.
Trailer review
The carrier type is not final until transport dimensions, loading method, protection, route, and destination are confirmed.
| Transport mode | Typical reason to review it | Critical checks |
|---|---|---|
| Dry van or box truck | Eligible smaller equipment needing full weather protection. | Door opening, interior height and width, floor rating, loading method, and liftgate limits. |
| Hotshot | Eligible smaller or urgent industrial loads with suitable geometry and route. | Deck size, payload, securement, protection, insurance, access, and team versus solo transit. |
| Flatbed | Large machinery loaded by forklift or crane with side or overhead access. | Legal height, blocking, chains or straps, edge protection, tarping, and weather exposure. |
| Stepdeck | Taller equipment requiring a lower main deck to control transport height. | Deck transition, load position, legal height, permits, securement, and unloading reach. |
| Conestoga | Weather-sensitive machinery requiring side or overhead loading. | Inside height and width, curtain mechanism clearance, loading geometry, and actual usable space. |
| RGN or specialized | Heavy, tall, high-center-of-gravity, or unusually configured equipment. | Loading angle, axle weights, permits, escorts, route survey, ground clearance, and site access. |

Destination readiness
Receiving, unloading, inside movement, placement, installation, and startup are separate operations. Confirm the responsible party for each handoff.
Scope boundaries
A freight line item normally covers the stated carrier movement and shipment terms—not an unlimited turnkey delivery.
Receiving protocol
Assign a responsible receiver who understands the BOL, documentation, visible-damage notation, and evidence-preservation process.
Have the receiver, camera, BOL, packing information, unloading team, and safe staging plan ready.
Photograph and video packaging, securement, trailer, and all accessible machine sides before unloading.
Check the shipment against the BOL, item count, visible condition, packaging, and known accessories.
Write visible damage, shortage, impact, or packaging concern on the delivery document before signing.
Use the approved equipment and lifting points; stop if weight, geometry, ground, or site conditions are unsafe.
Keep packaging, securement materials, photos, video, BOL, delivery receipt, and carrier communication.
Notify UmproTech and the responsible carrier promptly; document concealed damage before repair or disposal.
Freight RFQ
The machine quote team can coordinate freight after the equipment, origin, business site, and receiving plan are defined.
Freight FAQ
The final written quote, carrier confirmation, BOL, shipment documents, and site plan control.
An early estimate may be possible, but a reliable scope requires the assigned origin, transport dimensions, weight, trailer, protection, route, destination access, unloading plan, and timing.
Only when expressly stated. Forklift, crane, rigging, inside placement, storage, redelivery, installation, and training are separate scopes.
The trailer is reviewed from the actual load geometry, weight, loading method, protection, route, permits, carrier eligibility, and destination access.
Document it before unloading when safe, write specific damage or shortage on the delivery receipt before signing, preserve all evidence, and notify the responsible parties promptly.
No. Unloading, placement, utilities, qualified-trade work, installation, commissioning, training, materials, and acceptance must be completed under the applicable scope.
Send the machine reference, business destination, access, unloading plan, schedule, and any protection or permit requirements.
Planning pathway
Define material, geometry, thickness or capacity, production volume, quality, workflow, and future work.
Compare configuration, controller, options, utilities, extraction, footprint, access, unloading, and placement.
Confirm price path, delivery, startup, training, warranty, service, parts, financing, rental, used, or trade-in options.
